It's been two months, so of course I only post when it's something important. This has been the worst day ever!!!! I would just like to say that I hate American Idol now and I will never ever ever watch it again and this is the worst mistake ever ever ever!!!!!! And I'm so sad and I have a huge headache from all the crying! Argh. I know this is probably incoherent and all over the place but I'm too upset to care about that! Anyway if you did not know Michael was eliminated this week and it's just so very wrong. I so believe in the conspiracy that he didn't want to conform to what AI was trying to make him, therefore they needed to get rid of him. It's okay. You're a rock and soul star and I love you! sniff. Okay I will admit I wasn't so ecstatic at the screeching bit but he still sang it well. Plus I always love the songs he chooses. I really hope he gets a record soon.
I did get cheered up a lil bit when my sister brought me a sample of the new Chloe perfume from Singapore. Mm it smells nice and I might buy it considering the US dollar has seriously depreciated! 1.3! Okay before I collapse into another fit I'm gonna go bake some cupcakes. But the cupcake website isn't working!:'( And I had the recipe on my pendrive but I lost it TODAY!
WHY GOD WHY?!!!!!!
(P.S Yes I realise how whiny I am...)

3 down; 2 to go.
I don't know if this has been brought to anyone's attention, but the Oscars are on Monday morning! And whew, fortunately there's a public holiday which means I don't have to fake being sick like last year... (I should have gotten an Oscar myself...).
Anyway, as usual, I'm gearing up but trying to watch all the Academy Awards - involved movies, but namely the Best Picture nominees. Out of the five, I've only had the fortune to watch three; Atonement, NCFOM and Juno.
1. Atonement
This film simply put, is beautiful. So far I've only read about a third of the book, but the movie proves to be a faithful adaptation. I have to say that the acting on James McAvoy and Romola Garai was particularly impressive. Thank god Keira didn't get nominated cause she was mediocre at best, Saoirse ditto. But what really captured me was the story itself, there was good play on the themes of black and white and grey areas, character development was done perfectly and Dario Marianelli does a wonderful job with the score. (For those who have seen this movie, I still wasn't entirely convinced that Briony had atoned for what she had done yet, but I think that provides a certain cachet, the fact that she still hadn't changed from her teenage years.) Just watch it, it's love and drama, set in the 30's (!!!), blends a lot of moral questions and dilemmas, and is just a masterpiece.
2. No Country For Old Men
Rolling on to the next film, the Coen brother's latest concoction. Well this movie will definitely grab the little gold man come Sunday night. I'll admit it's probably way more complex than my callow mind can comprehend but nonetheless I still think it's a tremendous work of art. I suggest though that you watch this with good subtitles, as I was too eager and didn't wait for a good copy, leaving me with crappy subtitles and trying in vain to capture what they say in that damn Southern accent. But the star of this film has to be Javier Bardem. Just thinking about him gives me the chills. He probably should win an Oscar just for that awesome haircut. This movie is really, really, intense. Half the time I had to hide behind my hands.
3. Juno
Whewwwww! Now, I'm gonna go watch Eastern Promises, Michael Clayton, American Gangster... How am I supposed to finish my add maths?

How this movie got nominated for an Oscar, baffles me. (Then again the Academy did honor Crash, so go figure.) This flick is sweet, and cute at best. It's one of those movies that try to lift your mood when you're down in the dumps, but I don't understand all the attention and revering that has been lavished onto it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slamming on 'quirky, indie' movies, I thought that The Science of Sleep was a charming picture. But I suppose that this film's purpose is not to be hailed as a masterpiece and snag 8 golden boys. It's a nice movie, the writing was funny, although a bit contrived and I've seen better jibes than those. But, the music was very apt, and the scene at the end was just perfect, with the singing and the track team running past them.

going chloe-crazy
I was just looking at the See by Chloe Spring collection they have on their site.
I have never loved so many things and wanted so many things in my life.
I have never loved so many things and wanted so many things in my life.
It's love at first sight. I need to have these! Must must must have. If only I were a millionaire..
Short sleeved jacket with a silk skirt, casual and really cute
Short sleeved jacket with a silk skirt, casual and really cute
Silk top paired with high waisted large pleated pants with suspenders. I absolutely adore this look.
I like the hot pink sleeveless knitted waistcoat. Just not with those sunglasses, but maybe a high ponytail?
Hmm.. Ann might say this is 'so my style' but i like how the jacket wraps over each side. It looks good with the baggy pleated pants.
I LOVE this. If you looked at it from far, its simple but the blouse has got a nice fringe detail to add to it on the front, and it evens out the masculinity of the pleated pants.
this is a bit country girl but I just realised its a checkered dress with a sleeveless blouse inside with frilled sleeves. It would look adorable on a little kid, in their size though.
And another silk embroidered dress.
I know these are all pretty simple looking but when you pair it together nicely with other clothese, they look quite nice. Anyhoooots, I've yet to look for more clothes I like, I cant wait to throw my fugly uniform in the trashcan. Plus, I need an idea of what I want to buy again in the mid term break. :) Kay Ellll babeh!

leaves are falling down.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYMAY!
Brunei misses you, Yoyo misses you!
Brunei misses you, Yoyo misses you!
like I was saying about the fall 08 collections. So far, no collection has done miracles for me but I do have favourites. I love the BCBG Max Azria, it's so gorgeous and the silhouette that it reveals is perfect, without showing a lot of skin and still showing your curves. I think all of the looks have at least one thing in common; one of these things is the brown leather or wool belt that cinches at the waist. It's so feminine. I love the coats of the Burberry collection but I have to say, the whole jewelled/sequined/feathered necklace did nothing for me. It looks alright on some of the looks, but most of the time it just looks tacky. I do realise that this is a designer brand but tacky is tacky. Here are just what I mean,
Like I also said to Aaron or Amirah, it looks like something that some Ah-sam would wear, some old lady. Maybe it's just the pictures but these look unreal and even if they are real, it's like something that is another version of 'Bling'. Doesnt work for me, sorry!
Down here though, I love this ruffled dress from BCBG. It looks gorgeous. Below that again, are just some of my favourites from BCBG. This collection is just one of the very few that have caught my attention. :)
Another collection is the one by Jason Wu. I'll just show some pieces here too.
Feast your eyes on THAT. Have fun kiddos. :D

wins and losses.
So I went to singapore this weekend, which means i'm not so busy with sports and work. I'm finally posting! I went to singapore in search of a nice oversized clutch for BGIC, instead of the typical big patent totes (which i'm not saying i dont like). I was looking for a.. simple, bright coloured one to contrast with the monochrome theme i'm wearing. But over there, I was disappointed. I didnt even see one. I saw a clutch in Mango, but it was a) not big enough and b) just plain black and c) the details of it weren't that nice. I had a list of the colours I was looking for, for the clothes i wanted to buy, but I have to say; singapore, you failed me this time. But the shoes there were cheap! They weren't all bad as well, we went to Bugis Street one day and it was $12 for a pair and $20 for two pairs. So obviously, most of us went for the two pairs or just the one sharing the price with another. Mine was a teal pair with two straps across the front of your foot.
Anyway, I'm not gonna talk about clothes or fashion today, since this blog isnt only about fashion and related topics. Animal Cruelty. Today, we found a cat with a string tied around it's neck, it was hung down a drain helplessly suffocating there. It looked quite young considering it's size. It nearly died there, until a neighbour of ours found it while walking their dogs and the driver immediately took it to the vets. how could someone do that? If you were to even abandon your pet, dont kill it! thats so barbaric. how could someone just walk away having attempted to leave an animal to slowly die.. don't they have the fucking heart to at least give it a nice home at another family's house? I hope the poor cat's okay..
I heard another story from Ms Tassone, in Canada, there were these fully grown men that used little baby ducklings as golf balls. that is actually the most disgusting thing that i've ever heard someone do. they're so innocent and just so cute! how dare they kill them by whacking them with rock-hard metal clubs, breaking their tiny fragile bones and just slaughtering them.
Look at the cats all cramped in one tiny little cage, how are they supposed to survive in that sort of space? Imagine all the diseases that could be passed from cat to cat. And imagine you living in some sort of metal barrell, chained up. I swear, some people just think animals are like objects. they treat them like they mean nothing to the world. god, they're just like every single one of us. treat them right people.

Fillers
As an onlooker has kindly reminded me that this blog is "dead", here's a cheap tactic to liven it up. Videos! Yay.
Here's Henry Cavill looking gorgeous as always! Sigh, why couldn't HE have been chosen as James Bond?
And two days late, but HAPPY 16th to Jasmine! And here's a video post for her, as she has recently joined the Twilight cult. Now all we do in Physics is moan about how WE don't have an Edward Cullen. :( Gaspard <333333333 :)
