A little film noir for you.
I admit it. I have an unhealthy obsession with anything old - fashioned. And lucky for me Vanity Fair has two ravishing spreads this month, one a reenactment of Alfred Hithcock's most famous movies (The Birds, Psycho) the second a classic 40's/50's whodunnit. Both feature a rainbow of actors and actresses, some who fit the classic vixen bill perfectly (ie Scarlett as Grace Kelly in Rear Window!) and some not so, (ie Jessica Biel, NO woman was that muscular back then...)
Anyway feast your eyes on the second spread here. I have to say that the clothes are just to die for, I definitely got my dose of trilbys (they can only be justified in these surroundings), double breasted coat and high waists. And don't expect anything less than crimson lips, Veronica Lake hair, and gowns with exquisite 30's draping.
I can't leave without extolling the fabulous Annie Leibovitz! Keep up the great work! Eventually Anna Wintour will realise what a bore she is.
Aren't you so in the mood for a Bogey and Bacall?
